I have been a researcher in Mathematics since 2002, in different research institutions. At the moment I am employed at the Artificial Intelligence Lab at the Institute Jozef Štefan. I started my research career early when in the fall of 2001 I became a TA of Prof. Teresa Almada, the Coordinator for Mathematics at Universidade Lusofona, being responsible for the courses of Algebra III, IV and V as well as for Algebraic Topology. In 2005 I started my Master thesis working on lattices of equivalence relations, a topic that I presented at the Algebra Seminar of the University of Ljubljana in 2005, and at the Solomonov Seminar of the Institute Jozef Štefan in 2006. Also during 2006 I was employed at the Gulbenkian Science Institute working with Gabriela Gomes on the project Gripenet. From 2008 to 2012 my research work was focused on the study of the coset structure of skew lattices.
